Snake Game - Play the Classic Free Online | Reflexa

Every bite makes the snake one square longer. Don't run into the wall or your own body.

How to play

Press Start, or select the board and press Space or an arrow key. Steer with the arrow keys or W, A, S, D.

On a phone, swipe on the board in the direction you want to go, or use the arrow buttons below it.

Each piece of red food is worth 1 point and makes the snake one square longer.

With solid walls, touching the edge ends the game. With wrap-around you come out on the opposite side. Running into your own body always ends the game.

Press P or Esc to pause at any time. The game also pauses by itself when you switch tabs.

Tips for a higher score

Get used to sweeping along the edges. The middle fills up fast once the snake is long.

Before you turn toward the food, think one or two moves ahead: where will your body be when you get there?

Zig-zagging through one part of the board keeps the rest of it open as the snake grows.

Two quick presses are queued in order, so for a U-turn press the two directions one after the other.

A short history

Snake games trace back to Blockade, an arcade game released by Gremlin Industries in 1976. Two players each steered a line that left a solid trail behind it, and whoever crashed first lost. Many variations followed, and interest surged again in the late 1990s when a version came preloaded on mobile phones. Reflexa's snake is a new take on those old rules.

Scores are saved in this browser. There is no global ranking, but you can make a friend ranking room link and compete with friends (each player’s browser reports its own scores).

Where are my scores saved?

In this browser. A separate best score is kept for each combination of speed, wall mode and board size. There is no global ranking; only when you join a friend ranking room are your nickname and score posted to that room.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. Swipe on the board in the direction you want to go, or tap the arrow buttons below it. The page does not scroll while you swipe on the board.

How do I pause?

Press the Pause button, P or Esc. The game also pauses when you switch to another tab or window.

Jump Runner - Free Endless Runner Game Online | Reflexa

The robot runs by itself. You just time the jumps and ducks.

How to play

Press Start or Space and the robot starts running on its own.

Jump with Space, ↑ or W, or tap the game area on a phone. Hold a little longer to jump higher.

Duck with ↓ or S, or hold the Duck button. Ducking in the air brings you down faster.

Jump over the boxes on the ground. Duck under low drones; when a drone flies high, keep running underneath instead of jumping.

The speed creeps up as you go, and the distance in meters is your score.

Press P or Esc to pause. The game also pauses by itself when you switch tabs.

Tips for going farther

Jump a little earlier as the speed rises: the robot needs time to leave the ground.

Use a short press for low boxes and a long press for tall or double boxes.

When a drone appears, check its height first. Low means duck, high means just keep running.

Watch the empty space in front of the robot rather than the robot itself, so you spot the next obstacle sooner.

About endless runners

Jump Runner is an endless runner: the character never stops moving forward, and you only choose when to jump or duck while trying to get as far as possible. The genre took off on smartphones from around 2009, and its success is often put down to simple one-finger controls that suit touch screens. The robot, boxes and drones in this game were drawn for Reflexa.

Scores are saved in this browser. There is no global ranking, but you can make a friend ranking room link and compete with friends (each player’s browser reports its own scores).

Is this the dinosaur game from the offline page?

No. Jump Runner is an original game made for Reflexa, starring a small robot that avoids boxes and drones. The jump-over-obstacles idea is similar, so if you enjoyed that kind of running game the controls will feel familiar right away.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. Tap the game area to jump and hold the Duck button to duck. The page does not scroll while you play on the game area.

How is the score counted?

It is the distance the robot has run, shown in meters. These are game meters, not real ones. Your best is saved in this browser only.

Can I reduce motion?

If your device is set to reduce motion, the screen shake, dust puffs and moving background are switched off. Only the movement you need to play remains.

Can I compete with friends on a leaderboard?

Yes.

Golf Game - Play a Free 9-Hole Swing Challenge | Reflexa

Aim, choose a club, then tap three times to lock in power and accuracy. Read the wind, stay out of bunkers and water, and go round a par-36 course.

How to play

Aim: tap or drag on the course to aim that way. On a keyboard use ← → (hold Shift to turn 5 degrees at a time), or the ◀ ▶ buttons on screen.

Club: choose the driver, wood, iron or wedge (↑ ↓ keys). The number under each button is the longest carry you can get from where the ball lies now. Distance drops in the rough and drops a lot in bunkers. On the green only the putter is used.

Swing: press the swing button or Space three times. The first press starts the meter filling to the right. Press again at the power you want and the marker heads back to the left. Press a last time when it reaches the centre line of the green zone on the left.

Pressing late (past the green zone) curves the ball left with a hook; pressing early curves it right with a slice. If you never make the last press, the shot goes out with the biggest curve.

Wind pushes the ball while it is in the air. Check the arrow and speed at the top left and adjust your aim. After landing the ball rolls according to the ground: a long way on the green, a short way in the rough, and not at all in a bunker.

A ball in the water costs one penalty stroke and you play again from near where it went in. Out of bounds also costs one stroke, and you replay from the previous spot. A hole ends once your strokes reach double its par.

Tips for a lower score

A putt that comes up short never drops. The dashed line on the meter is the distance to the hole, so stop just past it. Hit it too hard and the ball runs by or lips out.

The marker comes back faster than you expect on the last, accuracy press. Once power is set, move your eyes to the green zone straight away.

In a crosswind, aim a little into the wind. Longer shots stay in the air longer and get pushed further.

Having the distance does not always make the driver the right club. Hole 8 has a creek about 210 m from the tee, so laying up short of it with a wood or iron is safer.

The course

The classic course has 9 holes and a par of 36 (two par 3s, five par 4s and two par 5s).

Hole 1 (par 4): straight, with bunkers either side of the landing area and beside the green.

Hole 2 (par 3): a pond between the tee and the green.

Hole 3 (par 5): doglegs right, and the second shot has to carry a creek.

Hole 4 (par 4): doglegs left, with a lake down the left side.

Hole 5 (par 4): a narrow fairway with three bunkers in the middle and a strong crosswind.

Hole 6 (par 3): an island green surrounded by water.

Hole 7 (par 5): an S-shaped hole with a lake to the right of the green.

Hole 8 (par 4): a creek crosses about 210 m from the tee.

Hole 9 (par 4): out of bounds close on the right and a pond left of the green.

Pick Today's course to keep the same holes with wind that changes by date.

Your best round is saved in this browser only. No scores are sent to a server.

Does it follow the official rules of golf?

No, it is simplified for play. A ball in the water takes a one-stroke penalty and is dropped automatically near where it went in; out of bounds takes a one-stroke penalty and you replay from the previous spot. The real rules' relief options, green slopes and grain are left out, there are 5 clubs instead of 14, and ending a hole automatically at double par is a house rule of this game, not an official rule.

How are wind, hooks and slices worked out?

Wind only acts while the ball is in the air, so longer shots are pushed more. The ball curves by how far you miss the accuracy zone: the driver curves most and the wedge least. Putts do not curve; they only start slightly off line.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. Tap or drag on the course to aim, then use the club buttons and the big swing button below. The page does not scroll while you drag on the course.

Where are my scores saved?

Only in this browser. Your best total on the classic course and your best on today's course (for that day only) are kept separately, and nothing is sent to a server. This game has no friend ranking room.

Can I reduce motion?

If your device is set to reduce motion, each ball flight is shortened to about 0.35 seconds and the view jumps to the new position instead of panning.
